Middle School 5th Grade Orientation & Open House:
Calling all incoming 5th graders and their families! Join us at DAMS on August 19th, 2026, for an informative session in the school auditorium followed by a tour of the building. We are offering two sessions to accommodate your schedule: 9:00 AM or 1:00 PM. Come discover the ins and outs of middle school life and get a sneak peek at the exciting opportunities awaiting you!
Middle School (Grades 6–8) Open House:
Monday, August 24, 4:30–6:00 PM
High School Orientation & Open House:
- Freshman Orientation: August 20th, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–3:00 PM
- High School Open House: August 27th, 4:30 PM–6:00 PM
Virtual Academy Orientation:
Students and parents are invited to visit the DAHS Virtual Academy Lab anytime between 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–3:00 PM on August 19th or 20th.
School pictures will be available for all students from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM on both days. Order Virtual Academy School Pictures
During the visit, students and parents will:
- Complete all beginning-of-year paperwork
- Meet with the school nurse for mandatory yearly screenings
- Learn about new Policies and Procedures
- Receive their Chromebook
All New and Return Students and Parents must attend orientation even if they are not picking up a Chromebook.
Students who need a hotspot for internet access must complete the Hotspot Request Form. Please allow up to one week for processing and delivery, as hotspots may need to be ordered.
